Industry Leader Laura Hatch Discusses Benefits of 2019 Dentistry’s Got Talent Competition for Viewers

Facebook Live Event Offers Dentists Valuable Industry Insights and Continuing Education Opportunities

Laura Hatch, founder of Front Office Rocks and friend of Dental Whale, will be a featured speaker in this year’s Dentistry’s Got Talent competition. She will be going up against 54 other dental industry speakers over the course of the two-day competition. Laura was one of five winners in the history of the competition, and this year, she will also be competing against the other past winners to claim the top spot.

She shared more information with us about what to expect from this year’s Dentistry’s Got Talent competition, as well as the benefits it offers dentists who tune in to the event on Facebook Live:

Q: What is Dentistry’s Got Talent?

Established a few years ago, Dentistry’s Got Talent is a speaking competition that gives dental industry leaders a platform to share their message and insights to the wider dental professional community. During this competition, speakers are given 10 minutes to give a TedTalk-style speech about their experience, expertise and insights as dental industry leaders and entrepreneurs.

Q: What will be the focus of your presentation?

I am going to be talking about how it is not what happens to you that matters as much as how you respond to it. I will be sharing the story of when I learned this lesson firsthand, as well as the four things we can do to impact our response.

Q: How many continuing education credits can be earned from watching the competition?

You can earn up to 10 continuing education credits just by watching the speakers on Facebook Live.

Q: Other than free continuing education credits, what are the competition’s main advantages for dentists?

With Dentistry’s Got Talent, you’ll get the opportunity to listen and learn from speakers that you won’t see at the big dental meetings or conferences. If you want to hear from the latest and greatest, up-and-coming speakers, this is the place to do that.

Q: When will the Dentistry’s Got Talent competition take place?

The first speaking events during the competition will take place from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST on Thursday, October 17, and 8 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. EST on Friday, October 18.

Q: Where can interested viewers tune in?

The live event will take place in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., but viewers can tune in from anywhere in the world via Facebook Live. You can subscribe and register here to be granted access for the Facebook Live event.

You have to register to see it live, and you can stay logged in the entire time, or jump in and out of the broadcast as much as you want.
